Thank you for your interest in volunteering to support the Connecticut Witch Trial Exoneration Project. We have two important requests.
First, please write to the Connecticut General Assembly to show your support for House Joint Resolution Number 34, Resolution Concerning Certain Witchcraft Convictions in Colonial Connecticut
If you live in Connecticut, please write to your representative and senator. You can find them here https://www.cga.ct.gov/asp/menu/cgafindleg.asp
If you live out of state, please address your letter to:
Joint Committee on Judiciary
Legislative Office Building, Room 2500
Hartford, CT 06106
Include a short, heartfelt message and explain your connection to the witch trials, if applicable. No more than 1 page. We’ve been told that a few sincere lines are better than pages of arguments.
In addition, we would like you to join us at the hearing of the General Assembly’s Joint Commission on Judiciary when that is held in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, we don’t have a date for that, yet, but we will keep you updated. Please wear something green. We will distribute buttons to show the legislators that we are all together as one unit to support exoneration.

I am a descendent of Ellis young, and look forward to the exoneration of her name.
