Connecticut Witch Trial Exoneration Project

Committed to honoring the victims of the Connecticut Witch Trials, the Connecticut Witch Trial Exoneration Project and others are working to establish a monument and planning to host a Day of Remembrance. Connecticut House Joint Resolution 34, RESOLUTION CONCERNING CERTAIN WITCHCRAFT CONVICTIONS IN COLONIAL CONNECTICUT, was adopted by the House of Representatives on May 10, 2023 by a vote of 121 to 30 and was then adopted by the Senate by a margin of 33 to 1 on May 25, 2023. This bipartisan resolution absolved the innocent victims of the witch trials and apologized to their descendants.

Planning a Day of Remembrance

Exciting news! Our collaboration of descendants and volunteers is planning a Day of Remembrance for those accused of witchcraft in Connecticut Colony. Join us as we plan how to honor their memories and reflect on this important history.

Our first meeting for this project will be held via Zoom on Sunday, June 30 at 5:00 PM EDT. Please RSVP to josh@endwitchhunts.org if you would like to attend.
